Wanted to thank the Orange PD. My family and I were traveling eastbound early in the am on 7/5. We had a blowout and then discovered no jack in the vehical! One of your officers (didn't catch his name - he is a black officer) was extremely helpful in getting us to the proper side of the highway, and lending a hand in getting a jack. I know this is probably everyday stuff, but he is greatly appreciated. Nice going OPD!

I use to work in Orange at the center with Ms. Wade. It was nice to see some of the old faces. Glad to see Chief Kittrell is still there. Keep up the good work. |

Just read the story about Senior Patrolman Eric Ellison and his bagpipes. I think this is 100% terrific and when he gets Amazing Grace down pat, I would love to hear him play it. Congrats to him! |

I was part of an animal rescue team working in TX after hurricane Ike andI am trying to find the 2 wonderful police officers that helped an injured dog. It was a man with thinning grey hair and wire framed glasses and a woman with short dark hair and wire framed glasses. The dog was a larger dog with dark fur and a broken leg. I just wanted to let them know the dog is fine and I have been fostering him. He will be ready to go to his forever home in a few weeks. He was treated for heart worms and had to have his leg amputated, but is doing great on three legs. I just wanted to let them know and thank them for their compassion in helping this sweet dog!! |

Hi-I came to Orange with the Red Cross and wanted to make sure you all knew how much I appreciated your help and getting to know so many of the officers! Kelly was the one who helped us at about 3 in the morning and escorted us to our shelter. Then as the next weeks went on I got to meet many more Howard, Tim, and Weldon...many more i cant remember their names. But you all really made it fun for me even though you had your own things going on with the disaster. I will never forget and tell everyone up here in Iowa the wonderful people I met-thanks and thinking of you all-Amanda |

Just wanted to commend Sam Kittrell for his work on the legendary David Harris case. Just watched The Thin Blue Line for the first time in about 20 years and am thrilled to see Chief Kittrell is obviously still doing an incredible job. Maybe this isn't the place to say such things but I think you're all lucky to have such a great cop! |

This is a very nice site - you can tell that lots of thought and work went into it....Thank you, Orange PD, for all you have done for the citizens of Orange and and the surrounding areas - especially during hurricane seasons. ~ Ann Beth |

Being an ex Orange Peace Officer, it was saddening to view the destruction caused by IKE. It is gratifying that the loss of lives was small. Your site is excellent. I left the Dept in 1970, so to anyone that was there then, HI! I retired from the Tex Commission on Law Enforcement in 1994. Best wishes to all, Russell (Russ) Coleman |
