Information: 

On Saturday, 12/19/09, at 11:52 pm officers of the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of 18th St. Orange, TX in reference to a gun shot victim.  Upon arrival officers found a 17 year old black male Orange resident suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.   The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital Orange by Acadian Ambulance.  The victim expired at the hospital. 

The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in some type of altercation in the 1800 block of W. Barkins when he was shot.  He then ran to an apartment in the 3000 block of 18th where he collapsed.  Several subjects are being questioned and the investigation is continuing at this time.
