NEWS RELEASE
DATE: November 14, 2009

LOCATION: 300 Block Border Street Orange, Texas
EVENT: Traffic Fatality
INFORMATION: On Saturday November 14, 2009 at 2:00 a.m. officials from the Orange Police Department, Orange Fire Department, and Acadian EMS responded to the 300 block of Border Street in Orange, Texas. There it was learned that Christopher Raymond Busby, a twenty-five year old white male of Orange, Texas, had jumped from a moving vehicle. Christopher Raymond Busby was a front seat passenger in a 2001 white GMC truck driven by Carrie Laughlin, a twenty-three year old white female also of Orange, Texas.
Christopher Raymond Busby was transported to Baptist Hospital-Orange by Acadian EMS. He died as a result of the injuries he sustained. Justice of the Peace Rodney Price ordered that an autopsy be performed.
This case remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department.
